Reissue of Child Care Services Certification

Individuals who already hold Child Care Services (CCS) Certification in Newfoundland and Labrador may request a reissue of their certification for the following reasons:

  1. A change in certification level and/or a change in classification
  2. A change in the official name on the certificate

What Is a Change in Level?

A change in level happens when you graduate from a recognized post-secondary program (certificate, diploma, or degree) after your initial certification in Newfoundland and Labrador.

What Is a Change in Classification?

A change in classification occurs when you complete individual courses from a recognized post-secondary institution or AECENL-approved orientation courses after your certification.

Important Notes

  • If the reissue adds Child Care Centre – Trainee Level to your existing certification, you must provide an acceptance letter into an approved ECE program from a recognized college before the reissue can be processed.

  • The expiry date of your certificate will remain the same as your current valid certificate term, unless a Trainee Level certification is added to other levels you already hold.
